About the Centre
Introducing The International Climate Finance Centre
A foundation built to grow green finance across the developing world. We bring the banking industry to the table, speed up green investment, and line up bankable projects ready to put that money to work.
Who we are
A Centre Built For Delivery
The financial industry has real gaps, and the most vulnerable countries have urgent needs. The International Climate Finance Centre ("ICFC" or the "Centre") exists to close the distance between the two.
Our main job is to get the banking industry adopting green finance and putting money into climate adaptation and mitigation. We do that through capacity building and partnerships, and by lining up bankable projects that can absorb the finance we help mobilise.
We also work as a think-tank. We produce research on green finance, help governments write policy, support quasi-state organizations and financial institutions, and work with the private sector and governments to design and mobilise finance for green projects.

Our vision
Reclaim The Financial Industry As An Engine For Change
We want to see bold, even disruptive financial instruments driving the green economy transition. Picture an international ecosystem that actually connects, one where climate and environmental factors sit at the centre of everyday financial and political decisions rather than the margins.
The shift we're after is a big one. Move and re-allocate capital from the developed North into green projects across developing countries. Done well, that money reshapes cities, livelihoods, energy systems, and land use.
Our mission
Build Capacity. Broker Partnerships. Move Capital
Our mission is to help developing countries build a greener financial industry. We do it by strengthening financial institutions, especially banks, and by getting institutions, policymakers, and multilateral bodies working together across borders.
We sit between the private sector, regulators, and research institutes, and that vantage point shapes a clear set of priorities.
